<br />---- ~. <br />..... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 199 97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INCREASING TIME ELEMENT OF VAN DRIVER <br />FROM 1/2T TO FULL TIME <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is an <br />elderly activity program, providing a variety of opportunities for retired <br />persons 55 years and older to serve as volunteers in public or private <br />non-profit agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, more RSVP volunteers are requiring van <br />transportation due to the increase in the number of volunteers who do <br />not drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by restricting the enrollment from volunteers who <br />are non-drivers, the program philosophy of offering the volunteer <br />opportunity to as many seniors as possible would be severely <br />impeded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of Position No. 3347, <br />Van Driver 1/2T, WB-5, to full time, this position would be better able <br />to carry out the commitments of the RSVP program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funds are available in the Regular Salaries and <br />Wages account of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Position No. 3347, Van Driver 1/2T, <br />WB-5, be changed to Full Time. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the funds are available in the <br />Regular Salaries & Wages Account of the RSVP Program, Elderly <br />Activities Division, Department of Parks & Recreation (010-481- <br />5482.01-011). <br />
