<br /> <br />TATeOF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO BITER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT GRANT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of America through the State Department of <br />Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office, is desirous of providing funding for <br />expenses to conduct sobriety roadblocks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to proceed <br />with its obligations under the Sobriety CheCkpoint Grant; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the <br />Federal government may enter'into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
