No. 314 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 1 ] :30 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 95, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 95, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication <br /> No. 314, dated May 6, 1997, authorizes the County of Hawaii to enter into an agreement with the <br /> United States of America for a Statewide Narcotics Task Force Grant. <br /> The United States of America through the State Department of the Attorney General Crime <br /> Prevention and Justice Assistance Division, is desirous of providing funding for expenses for the <br /> interdiction of drugs. The Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to proceed <br /> with its obligation for the prohibition of drugs. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Federal government may enter into <br /> agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii providing the expenditures or receipt of <br /> funds or for other assistance.
