No. 228 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 60, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 60, transmitted by District VI Councilmember John Santangelo, via <br /> Communication No. 228, dated March 31, 1997, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from <br /> the Pahala Community Association. <br /> Pahala Community Association has graciously donated six hundred dollars ($600) to the County <br /> of Hawaii DeparUnent of Parks and Recreation. The funds will be used for the purchase of <br /> electrical material to complete the Pahala Community Center Extension. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of <br /> <br /> the county, may accept gifts of donations or personal property. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 60 and <br /> recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be sent <br /> <br /> to Robert Makuakane, President, Pahala Community Association at P.O.
