REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: April 1, 1997 Re: Comm. No. 215 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:35 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 215, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 215, transmitted by HSAC Secretary=Treasurer AI Smith, dated Mazch 18, <br /> 1997, requests the Council to appoint one (1) Councilmember to serve as an officer of the Hawaii <br /> State Association of Counties (HSAC). It also requests that an alternate be designated to serve as <br /> a backup. <br /> Annually, each Council selects one of its members to serve on the HSAC Executive Committee <br /> as one of its officers. The selected members from each county then confer among themselves <br /> and formulate a slate of officers that will then be presented to the Councils and the HSAC <br /> General Membership for approval. <br /> Presently, the Hawaii County Council is represented by Councilmember Al Smith as Secretary- <br /> Treasurer and his alternate Councilmember Dominic Yagong.
