<br />,i. <br />Project Number 07-WF-06 <br />C O N T R A C T <br />THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br />indicated below, is effective as of May 1, 2009, by and between <br />the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii, <br />hereinafter called- "Agency", by and through the Attorney <br />General, and the County of Hawaii, Hawaii Police Department, <br />hereinafter called "Grantee". <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and <br />Law Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U. S. C. 3796 et seq., as <br />amended (hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to <br />states for developing and strengthening effective law <br />enforcement and prosecutorial strategies and victim services in <br />~'ilcases involving crimes against women. Offices and agencies of <br />!the state government, units of local government, Indian tribes, <br />'and non-profit, non-governmental victim services programs are <br />'eligible to apply to states for subgrants under the fourteen <br />~ibroad purpose areas: <br />Ae v. 06/07 1 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />
