Ishibashi from the South Hilo District to the Hawaii County Windward Planning Commission. Mr. Ishibashi is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. Since 1991, he has been employed by the ILWU Local 142 as a Business Agent. Mr. Ishibashi is on the Board of Directors of Hawaii Island United Way. He is a former Rural South Hilo President, and from 1996 to 2001 he served as the President of the Honomu Branch Church of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Ishibashi states that he is. not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a five year term to end on December 31, 2013. Due to the need to have the respective planning commissions in place by April 1, 2009, as required by law, we are respectfully requesting this nomination be waived to the full Council for its consideration.
