<br />. <br />"" ,/.- <br />/' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,., <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />BILL NO. 124 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 97 126 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 97-83, AS AMENDED, THE <br />OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1998. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Purpose. It is the purpose of this ordinance to establish the <br />necessary appropriation within the Department of Research & Development to <br />support the County's role in the demonstration Papaya Quarantine Program. <br />The County's participation includes leasing of lands from Bishop Estate for <br />purposes of the quarantine program and to support continued research on the <br />fruit qualities of transgenic papaya plants. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
