I am a lifelong resident (over 50 <br /> years) of Kailua-Kona. Currently I live in Kona Palisades which is <br /> the closest residential subdivision to this proposed project. <br /> <br /> I remember when there was nothing in Kona. Queen Kaahumanu <br /> <br /> Highway ended at Honokohau Harbor and there was little chance to <br /> see the West Coast of this island. There was very little <br /> <br /> development, shopping was limited, and not much employment <br /> <br /> opportunities. <br /> <br /> Growth, for our community, has allowed the lands to be opened <br /> up for the public to explore and enjoy.
