(808) 961-8912 C <br /> CC <br /> <br /> April 8, 2009 - ~ 3 <br /> co <br /> TO: J Yoshimoto, Chair cn <br /> and Members of the Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> FROM: Kenneth Goodenow, County Clerk . <br /> <br /> RE: Bill to Amend Chapter 24, Hawaii County Code, for the Purpose of Statutory Revision <br /> <br /> <br /> Attached for the council's consideration is a bill that amends chapter 24, Vehicles and Traffic, <br /> relating to Traffic Schedules contained in article 10; sections 24-255 and 24-280. <br /> <br /> While revising article 10 of chapter 24, per the enactment of ordinances amending this section, the <br /> Legislative Research Branch discovered three street names that did not correspond to street names in <br /> a spreadsheet provided by the Planning Department. <br /> <br /> Upon consultation with the Planning Department, the proper spelling of these three street names was <br /> confirmed, as indicated and offered by the attached bill. <br /> <br /> Please note that these apparent errors have been codified for over 12 years, per the enactment of <br /> Ordinance No. 96-163, effective December 24, 1996. <br /> <br /> I have asked that this matter be waived from committee due to the purely clerical nature of this <br /> revision effort. <br /> <br /> <br /> KG/jdh <br /> An. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Comm.
