SV Oi p <br />JM..::'•.11y <br />~•'~L~ 7~ <br />V~~~/'k. <br />CO~JNTY OF HAWAII `•~ STATE OF HAWAII <br />=- ~•~: <br />•jSll Of ~N',N~ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1'.4 09 <br />A 12FSOLUTION T12ANSFERR[NG/APPROPRIATING AN APP120PRIATION OUT <br />1ND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club was established in 1953, which goal is to provide <br />activities to inspire and enable the Big Island youth from all backgrounds of life; and <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Gir]s Club of the Big Island is facing a shortfall of $334,300 <br />I'or Fiscal Year ?008-2009 due to a reduction in funding from governmental grants and private <br />sources: and <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club provide programs in the areas of Health and Life <br />Shills, Character and Leadership Development, the Arts, Education (homework assistance and <br />computer skills), as well as Sports, Recreation and Fitness; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to <br />the Oftce of the Prosecuting Attorney to be used for operational expenses for the Boys and Girls <br />Gub of the Big Island's FIilo Club; now, therefore, <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />Following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL <br />AMOUNT OP <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br />OUT AND PKOM: <br />OlO.lOL5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />CRL DI'hF~D TO: <br />010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $5,000 <br />Prosecuting Atty OCE <br />(Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island, Hilo Club) <br />
