At the March 17, 2009 Planning Committee meeting, there was no public testimony.

When questioned by Council Member Brenda Ford, Planning Director Bobby Jean Leithead
Todd stated that requiring exact metes and bounds at this stage is not a good idea. Ms. Leithead
Todd further stated that the plan is consistent with the General Plan..

Council Member Ford asked Public Works Director Warren Lee if he was satisfied with the
request and amendments. Mr. Lee indicated that he was okay with this matter.

Mr. Steven Lim, representative for the applicants, indicated that they would be amending
Condition "L" regarding the sewer system to include language preferred by the Department of
Environmental Management. He also indicated that the applicants had no plans to include a
commercial portion in the project.

Ms. Ford stated that she wanted to limit the number of units to 149, although the applicants have
sufficient water to support their number of 160 units. Ms. Ford stated that although she
supported the project, she wanted to place more restrictions on the applicants.

Your Committee concurs with the Planning Commission and the Planning Director's favorable
recommendation for approval of the Time Extension request.

Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 30 and
recommends it pass first reading.

awm

AYES NOES A&E Ex Respectfully submitted,
ENRIQUES X
FORD X COMMITTEE ON PLANNING
GREENWELL X
HOFFMANN X /
IKEDA X Z n~llL
NAEOLE X DONALD IKEDA, CHAIR
ONISHI X
YAGONG X PC REPORT NO. 22
YOSHIMOTO X ADOPTED: APR 0 A 7nng
