M1 <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII • -""~ b'~r,,, STATE OF HAWAII <br />:. <br />:•°~ <br />1T~ O~•N~'i` <br />RESOLUTION NO: 1.a3iZ ®9 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE ADMINISTRATION TO REDRAW THE <br />BOUNDARY LINES OF THE WEST HAWAII GOLF SUBSIDY PROGRAM TO <br />ALLOW THE WAIMEA COUNTRY CLUB TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SUBSIDY <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Request for Proposal (RFP) for the West Hawaii <br />Golf Subsidy Program excludes the Waimea Country Club from participating in the program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Waimea Country Club has been a participant golf course in the West <br />Hawaii Subsidy Program in the past and was well received by West Hawaii residents; and <br />WHEREAS, upon when the Waimea Country Club barred from participation in the <br />program, a petition with over 1,100 signatures was collected encouraging the County of <br />Hawaii to continue the West Hawaii Golf Subsidy Program at the Waimea Country Club; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the $500,000 subsidy that would include the Waimea Country Club <br />would be a tremendous compliment to the successful subsidy program enjoyed by West <br />Hawaii residents; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that <br />the Administration will redraw the boundary lines for the West Hawaii Golf Subsidy <br />Program as shown in exhibit "A" to include the Waimea Country Club and issue an <br />addendum to RFP number 2525 upon approval of this resolution. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
