COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 136 U9 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Waiakea High School 2009 Project Graduation provides a safe, <br />secure, and supervised celebration alternative to the traditional graduation parties that involve <br />underage drinking, illegal substance use, and unsupervised late-night partying that normally <br />results in drinking and driving, all of which pose a hazard to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, approximately 250 graduates will attend the Waiakea High School 2009 <br />Project Graduation, which will be held at the Hilo Yacht Club on Saturday, June 6, 2009, from <br />9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning; and <br />WHEREAS, a goal of the Department of Liquor Control is to support youth programs <br />which promote alcohol- and drug-free events, including Project Grad Night activities; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards the support of Waiakea High School 2009 <br />Project Graduation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $1000 <br />Public Programs, Misc. Contract Services <br />(Waiakea High School 2009 Project Graduation) <br />
