<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> J~tr/ s N,•Y <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ~t?pf'H~i~ . <br /> <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 137 09 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Waiakea High School Grad Night provides a safe, secure, and <br /> supervised celebration alternative to the traditional graduation parties that involve underage <br /> drinking, illegal substance use, and unsupervised late-night partying that normally results in <br /> drinking and driving, all of which pose a hazard to the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this alcohol- and drug-free event provides the parents and families of the <br /> graduates with the peace of mind that their child is in a safe and wholesome environment after <br /> graduation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the reduction of underage drinking and substance abuse serves a valid <br /> public purpose; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Liquor Control's goals is to support youth <br /> programs which promote alcohol- and drug-free events, including Project Grad Night <br /> activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards the Waiakea High School Grad Night; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> <br /> FUND: General <br /> I <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC - Contingency Relief $500 <br /> <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> <br /> 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $500 <br /> Public Programs, Misc.
