<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Attachment A <br /> <br /> The Hawaii County Office of Aging (HCOA) is one of 655 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) <br /> designated by the Older Americans Act (OAA) of 1965, and reauthorized in 2006, to assist older <br /> individuals to secure equal opportunity to the full and free enjoyment of the traditional <br /> American concept of the inherent dignity of the individual in our democratic society. In keeping <br /> in harmony with the intent of the OAA, this request is to support and assist HCOA in meeting <br /> <br /> objective 7, section 101 of the OAM securing opportunities for older individuals to: <br /> <br /> "Participate in and contribute to meaningful activity within the widest range of <br /> civic, cultural, educational and training, and recreational opportunities." <br />
