COUNTY ®F HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~~~ ®~ <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br />WHEREAS, the federal government is funding the expansion of the West Hawaii <br />Veteran's Cemetery which will increase the cemetery northward, add a new columbaria area, a <br />committal service shelter, maintenance building, cremains area, scattering garden, walkways, <br />roads, and a restroom; and <br />WHEREAS, the West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery Development and Expansion <br />Association (WHVC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to honoring our <br />veterans by maintaining and improving the facilities of the WHVC; and <br />WHEREAS, the WHVC is involved with a dry land reforestation project using native <br />Hawaiian plants in the perimeter areas of the cemetery; and <br />WHEREAS, WHVC is requesting financial assistance to purchase native Hawaiian <br />plants; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used towards the WHVC reforestation project to <br />purchase additional native Hawaiian plants for the cemetery; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $860 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $860 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.423.5421.12 Department of Parks & Recreation $860 <br />Hilo & West HI Vets Cem OCE, Agriculture <br />(Reforestation Project) <br />
