COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />~.~® ®9 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br />WHEREAS, the Fourth of July is a national celebration commemorating the adoption <br />of the Declaration of Independence in 1776; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fourth of July Fest in Hilo will include a fireworks exhibition by the <br />Lehua Jaycees, Hilo Bay BBQ Cook-Off, Paradise Cruisers Car Show, County Band concert, <br />and Puna canoe races; and <br />WHEREAS, funds are needed to help defray the costs associated with the Fourth of <br />July Fest, including the hiring of special duty officers during the festivities in order to provide <br />a safe and enjoyable environment for the community; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated <br />to the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used towards the 2009 Fourth of July Fest; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $1,000 <br />Culture/Arts OCE, Misc. Contract Services <br />(2009 Fourth of July Fest) <br />
