<br /> <br /> <br /> (V Of <br /> Hu <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1.92 09 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Maku`u Farmers Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, plans to take <br /> 12 youths from the Pahoa community to visit the Boteillho Ranch in Pa`auilo and the Wailele O Akaka <br /> Botanical Garden and Farm Project in Honomu; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Maku`u Farmers Association's goals are to promote the Hawaiian cultural and <br /> values while providing educational programs for students living in the District of Puna; and <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, throughout the year, the Maku`u Farmers Association provide students with <br /> educational programs during the school breaks; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the programs promotes the traditional Hawaiian cultural and values with the <br /> assistance of our Kupuna mentoring our youths, thus developing a better understanding and <br /> compassion within our community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation to be used towards the Maku`u Summer Intersession Program <br /> 2009; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> <br /> FUND: General <br /> <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC - Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> <br /> 010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks & Recreation $5,000 <br /> Cultural/Arts OCE <br /> (Maku`u Summer Intersession Program 2009) <br />
