<br /> <br /> <br /> Mtr or <br /> <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 193 09 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaiian Academy of Arts and Science Center School (HAAS), a 501 (c)(3) <br /> nonprofit organization, that cater to our youth in the Puna area and the only school that has surfing on <br /> it's daily curriculum; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Poho`iki Bay Surfing Classic is an annual event in its third year hosting a <br /> long board surfing contest for youths and adults and a short board division for kids and women; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 3rd annual Boogie's Longboard surfing classic will be held on July 3rd, 4°i, <br /> and 5`h 2009 at Poho`iki Beach; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this event calls attention to an area of our island that is dedicated to preserving <br /> the practice of one of the oldest cultural sports in the world, Poho`iki Bay; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from District 5 will be appropriated to the Department <br /> <br /> of Parks and Recreation for the Poho`iki Bay Surfing Classic; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> <br /> FUND: General <br /> <br /> <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC - Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> <br /> CREDITED TO: Department of Parks & Recreation <br /> 010.500.5517.21 Culture & Arts Class/Activ $1,000 <br /> (Poho`iki Bay Surfing Classic) <br />
