Mr. Kaoiwi is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He retired as a State of Hawai'i Kulani <br /> Correctional Facility - Watch Lieutenant Supervisor in 1996. <br /> <br /> Mr. Kaoiwi is familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Commission. He served as <br /> a charter member from 2001 to 2003. He presently serves as a member of the Hawai'i County <br /> Police Commission. Mr. Kaoiwi is also the current Finance Committee member for the HCEOC, <br /> President for KMO, and Director for KLMMC. He states that he is not affiliated with any political <br /> party. If confirmed, Mr. Kaoiwi will serve a term to end on December 31, 2013, replacing <br /> Mr. Wilfred Okabe, whose term expired on December 31, 2008. <br /> Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
