COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 83 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 81 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 26 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY <br /> CODE RELATING TO SALARY GRADES FOR DEPUTIES IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br /> CORPORATION COUNSEL AND THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. Article 26 of Chapter 2 of the Hawaii County Code <br /> is amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 2-143. Definitions. <br /> (a) "Deputies" means deputies in the office of the <br /> corporation counsel and the office of the prosecuting <br /> attorney. <br /> (b) "Appointing authority" means the corporation counsel or <br /> the prosecuting attorney. <br /> [Section 2-144. Placement in grade; step. <br /> Deputies shall be placed in appropriate salary grades <br /> and steps in accordance with this article. <br /> Section 2-145. Salary grades; steps. <br /> (a) There shall be two salary grades, each with a set <br /> number of steps, as follows: <br /> (1) Law Grade 1 (LG-1), with steps "A" through "J," <br /> shall be the non-supervisory grade. <br /> <br />
