COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 353 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11 OF THE HAWAI'I COUNTY CODE, 1983 <br />(1995 EDITION) AS AMENDED, TO UPDATE THE IN -LIEU AMOUNT <br />BE IS ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I <br />Section 1 Findings. Pursuant to Sections 11-4 (c)(1) and <br />i1-5 (c)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, the Hawaii County Housing <br />Agency is seeking to update the in -lieu fee amount <br />Section 2 Chapter 11, Section 11-4 (c)(1), of the Hawaii County <br />Code 1983 (1995 Edition) is amended to read as follows <br />uses. <br />Section 11-4. Requirements for rezonings involving residential <br />(c) Satisfaction of these requirements will be accomplished <br />through the use of the following alternatives <br />(1) Payment of in -lieu fees These fees are calculated <br />by determining the amount of subsidy required to <br />provide housing units affordable to the targeted <br />income groups The in -lieu fee amount, averaged for <br />the various groups to be served, amounts to [$4,720] <br />$11,940 per affordable unit required in [1997] 2000 <br />dollars The in -lieu fee amount may be updated by <br />the County housing agency on an annual basis The <br />in -lieu fee amount shall be calculated based on the <br />
