,~tV os y~ <br />y6Cy; <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />~: <br />"~ b.•ai <br />RESOLUTION NO. 202 ~~ <br />A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE RULES OF PROCEDURE AND ORGANIZATION <br />OF THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII AND DESIGNATE THE CHAIR <br />AND VICE CHAIR OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL'S STANDING COMMITTEES. <br />WHEREAS, the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii governs the affairs of the council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii was adopted by the council via Resolution No. 04-09 on December, 1, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, Rule No. 6 governs the structure and scope of the Hawaii County <br />Council's Standing Committees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council desires to reorganize the structure of its standing committees to <br />consolidate the Human Services and Economic Development Committee into the Finance <br />Committee, and the Food and Energy Sustainability Committee into the Environmental <br />Management Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposed amendment to Rule No. 6, Standing Committees, is contained <br />within the attached document labeled "Exhibit A" and indicated by Ramseyer format, whereby <br />material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken through; material to be added is underlined; and <br />WHEREAS, Rule No. 24, §5(a)(1)(A), allows for the organization of Council by <br />resolution; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that, <br />pursuant the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawai `i, the <br />following members are hereby designated as Chair and Vice Chair of the stated committees: <br />COMMITTEE CHAIR VICE CHAIR <br />Planning Donald Ikeda Guy Enriques <br />Public Works and <br />Intergovernmental Relations Guy Enriques Kelly Greenwell <br />Finance Dennis Onishi Donald Ikeda <br />
