COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 203 09 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR <br />AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPIER <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation <br />requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be <br />approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for three (3) years for <br />one (1) copier for the Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division (EAD); and <br />WHEREAS, the multi-year lease on the current copier will be expiring soon and the division wishes to <br />enter into another lease of a new medium volume copier; and <br />WHEREAS, the copier is used heavily by the EAD Administration, Elderly Recreation Services and <br />Coordinated Services Program for the Elderly offices at the Kamana Senior Center. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year lease agreement of a copier for <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the <br />County under the terms of the agreement. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit copies of this resolution to the Departments of <br />Finance and Parks and Recreation. <br />Dated at xona ,Hawaii, this 19th day of August , 2009. <br />INTRODUCED BY: <br />COUNCIL MEMBER.
