Coastal Zone Management, HRS, Chapter 205A: The entire State of Hawaii lies <br />within the Coastal Zone Management area. <br />10. Special Management Area: The SMA is a part of the Coastal Zone Management <br />Program regulated by the County. The project site is located more than one mile from the <br />shoreline and is not in the SMA. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT SITE AND SURROUNDING AREA <br />11. Subject Property: The property is a 22,900 squaze foot pazcel, improved with an <br />approximately 80-year old dwelling and carport. <br />12. Surrounding Zoning and Land Uses: The land uses in the immediate area aze a mix of <br />commercial, industrial and residential uses. Immediately adjacent properties are zoned <br />RS-10 and in single-family residential use. Commercial and/or industrial uses nearby <br />include Big Island Candies on land zoned General Commercial (CG-20), single family <br />residences, and commercial uses such as the Atebara Potato Chip factory, quilt shop, <br />various office uses and a church.
