During discussion on the referenced Resolution at the Committee on Finance <br />on July 7, 2009, I was asked to provide information on the cost of the multi-year copier <br />lease that is the subject of the resolution. <br />Copiers are procured individually because of the differing requirements for various <br />features to meet each office's needs. The Purchasing Division will not proceed to <br />obtain quotations and select a copier lease until the County Council has authorized the <br />administration to do so. Therefore, the exact amount of the lease is not known at this <br />time. <br />Based on the last few quotations that Purchasing has obtained, intermediate copiers <br />(7,500 copies per month) lease for $1,758 per year to $2,822.56 per year for five-year <br />leases. The leases typically include toner and maintenance.
