REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br />DATE: August 4, 2009 Re: Comm. 408Bi11 No. 101 <br />PLACE: Councilroom <br />Ben Franklin Bldg, 2"~ Floor <br />333 Kilauea Avenue <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br />TIME: 5:30 p.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 101, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 101, transmitted via Communication No. 408 from Mayor William P. Kenoi, <br />dated June 2, 2009, forwards a request for a time extension by Grace Community Church, <br />at Honokohau 2"d, North Kona, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key: 7-4-06:038. <br />Bill No. 101 seeks to amend Condition D (Final Subdivision Approval) of Change of <br />Zone Ordinance No. 98-08. The property is located on the east side of Palani Road, <br />adjacent to and north of the Kona Christian Academy. <br />Communication No. 408 reports that the Hawaii County Planning Commission, as <br />required by Chapter 4, Sec. 6-4.3(C), Hawaii County Charter, considered the above <br />request at its meeting on May 15, 2009. The Commission concurred with the Planning <br />Director's reasons for recommending favorable consideration of the request. <br />Your Committee recommended passage of Bill 101 on first reading at its meeting of <br />July 7, 2009. Items from all committee agendas for July 7, 2009 were put to a re-vote for <br />issues of legality.
