The existing school zone speed limit is 25 MPH, the proposed speed limit is 20
MPH. These proposed modifications are intended to mitigate the increase in traffic due
to the recent openings of Manawalea Street and Keanalehu Drive and consequential
connection to Queen Kaahumanu Highway.

This is the second of three traffic code amendments required for this effort to enhance
driver awareness of the Kealakehe Elementary school zone.

A location map is attached for your reference. -7

1135 Comm.
