The amendment is as follows: <br /> <br /> FROM: <br /> 3308 43 Federal Grants - JAG Recovery Act - Prosecutors General $150,000 <br /> 3308.44 Federal Grants - JAG Recovery Act - Police General 216.489 <br /> <br /> TOTAL $366,489 <br /> <br /> TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.84 JAG Recovery Act - Prosecutors General $150,000 <br /> 010 201 5216.36 JAG Recovery Act - Police General 216.489 <br /> <br /> TOTAL $366,489 <br /> <br /> The Office of the Prosecutor will use its share of $150,000 to upgrade its computer server environment <br /> which will enable them to immediately maintain a central data repository, utilize system management <br /> tools and to implement the latest version of its document management system The Hawaii County <br /> Police Department will use its award of $216,489 to extend the Evidence Specialist Program from <br /> September 16, 2009 through August 15, 2011 and to purchase a digital camera system to allow them to <br /> continue critical law enforcement efforts. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the <br /> Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the Edward Byrne Memorial <br /> Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Naeole spoke in favor of this bill. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> FC Report No 84 <br />
