COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 113 <br />ORDINANCE NO. d9 <br />~~.1. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Purpose. Anew traffic signal at the subject location was installed as part <br />of the Kona Commons project. This ordinance is necessary to update the Hawaii County Code <br />to reflect existing conditions. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 2, section 24-274.1 (Schedule 22.1, Traffic <br />signal systems), paragraph (f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as <br />amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as <br />follows: <br />"( ) Makala Boulevard, at the Kona Commons Driveway, one thousand <br />one hundred fifteen feet southwest of Queen Ka`ahumanu <br />Highway" <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br />underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material <br />and underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person <br />or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications <br />of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to <br />this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
