<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> V OF <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> 'n•a;•N~+`'~ BILL NO. 13R <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 09 133 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br /> (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br /> <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose. Due to the recent openings of Manawalea Street and Keanalehu <br /> <br /> Drive, it is necessary to enhance driver awareness of the Kealakehe Elementary School zone and <br /> <br /> minimize risk to school children. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-254 (schedule 2. 20 mile per <br /> <br /> hour limit), paragraph (f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br /> <br /> is amended by adding the following subparagraph, to be appropriately numbered and to read as <br /> <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "O Kealakaa Street in the school zone fronting Kealakehe Elementary <br /> School, from a point five hundred ninety feet north of Palani Road <br /> and extending one thousand six hundred forty feet in the northerly <br /> direction while speed limit sign beacons are flashing," <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material <br /> <br /> and underscoring need not be included. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person <br /> or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications <br />
