The goal of this program is to reduce the number of alcohol related <br /> fatalities and injuries, to increase public awareness, and to provide a constant deterrence <br /> against impaired driving by conducting impaired driving roadblocks on our highways. In the <br /> current fiscal year's budget, $92,000 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br /> additional funds into the HCPD Roadblock Program account and bringing the total grant <br /> appropriation to $95,340. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawai'i County Police <br /> Department. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 4" F <br /> Nancy E.
