The amendment is as follows: <br /> <br /> FROM: <br /> 3308.51 Federal Grants -Court House Booking Project General $ 99,000 <br /> <br /> TOTAL $ 99,000 <br /> <br /> TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.86 Court House Booking Project General $ 99,000 <br /> <br /> TOTAL $ 99,000 <br /> <br /> The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing an <br /> additional funding of $3,340 to the Hawaii County Police Department's Roadblock Program. The <br /> goal of this program is to reduce the number of alcohol related fatalities and injuries, to increase <br /> public awareness, and to provide a constant deterrence against impaired driving by conducting <br /> impaired driving roadblocks on our highways. <br /> <br /> The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention & Justice Assistance <br /> Division is providing federal funds from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant <br /> Program. The funds will be used by the Hawaii Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to implement <br /> the Court House Booking Project which will provide post-conviction, same-day penal summons <br /> booking at the Hilo and Kona court houses. This project will streamline the post-conviction <br /> booking process and will ensure that the information is entered into the statewide offender based <br /> tracking program. <br /> <br /> <br /> FC Rept.
