The majority of these amendments were previously <br /> suggested by former Planning Director Chris Yuen and Council Member Emily Naeole in <br /> July 2008. <br /> <br /> During initial discussions on the Draft Puna CDP, there were many concerns regarding <br /> substantive amendments that would delay the adoption of the Puna CDP; therefore, no <br /> substantive amendments were approved. Now that the Puna CDP has been finalized and <br /> adopted, I would like to discuss these amendments once again. <br /> <br /> In addition to these amendments, non-substantive amendments are being proposed in <br /> order to correct the spelling of certain Hawaiian words and various typographical <br /> errors. <br /> <br /> Also attached is a Table of Proposed Amendments.
