Include individual descriptions of features and /or <br />components of the site, measurements, etc., and any other relevant information <br />gathered to date. <br />Pecked Rock/Konane Board <br />This feature is a pecked rock in the bedrock bordering the Hilo Bay, specifically located <br />in one of the few areas nearby not converted into an urbanized county park. Measuring <br />14" by 6 ", it is rectangular with the longest extent N -S. There are four parallel rows of <br />pecked indentations into the rock (see attached photos): westernmost having seven <br />indentations; the next line east seven; the third line seven; while the easternmost and final <br />row contains five. There is one pecked indentation outside these alignments, an `eighth' <br />which may line up either with row two or three, or may not be related directly to the <br />creation of this feature. It is interpreted as a Konane Board, containing seven indentations <br />along one side and an even number of indentations along the other. <br />
