" .'. ."... <br />.,<.....:::::..:.:,:",.., <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3 0 5 9 8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTIIORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF FOUR (4) SCOTT SELF- <br />CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUSES (SCBA) FROM PUNA GEOTHERJ.1AL <br />VENTURE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, PUNA GEOTHERMAL VENTURE, hereinafter referred to as PGV, has <br />offered to donate four (4) Scott Self-Contained BreathingApparatuses (SCBA) to the Hawaii <br />County Fire Department Training Division; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each SCBA unit is complete with regulators, back packs, 2,216 pounds per <br />square inch (psi) air tanks, and hard plastic cases; and. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the value oftrus donation, is THREE THOUSAND TWO HU1\roRED AND <br />NO/lOO DOLLARS ($3,200.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of these SCBA units will increase the capability of the Hawaii <br />County Fire Department Training Division to adequately train our fire fighters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13;.12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate. . <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF' THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the <br />County of Hawaii is authorized to accept.the donation of four (4) Scott Self-Contained Breathing <br />Apparatuses (SCBA) from Puna Geothermal Venture. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appredatioll be sent to PGV <br />acknowledging their generous donation. <br />
