<br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTl OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO ANAGREBMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT. TO HRS 46-7, FOR A STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE <br />.GRANT . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of America tbrougbthe State Department of tbe <br />Attorney General CrimePrev~ntion and Justice Assistance Division, is desirous of <br />providing funding for multi-jurisdictional task force programs that integrate <br />federal, state and local dh1glaw enforcement agehcies and prosecutors for the <br />purpose of enbancing interagency coordination and intelligence and facilitating <br />multijurisdictional investigations; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, tbe Hawaii County. Police Department is ready and willing to proceed <br />with its obligations under tbe:Statewide Narcotics TaskForce Grant; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to.Sections46-.7of tbe Hawaii Revised statutes, tbe <br />Federal government may enter into agreements with tbe Council of .the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other. assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY.THK COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII tbat <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
