<br />. ...,_.,"-,.....'~..' <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,PURSUANTTO HRS .46-7, GANG PREVENTION.-KONA GRANT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of Amer'ica through the State Department of Human <br />Services Office of Youth Services, is desirous of providing funding to monH:or gang <br />activities within the County of Hawaiiandassis~ the State in the. coordination of <br />intelligence and law enforcement, sharing of inf 0 rmati Oil , training and community <br />awareness, community and school-based iilterventionand prevention programs, and <br />evaluation and research; and . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing <br />to proceed with its obligations under the. Gang Prevention Grant; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46:-7 of the.Hawaii Revised Statutes, the <br />Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds for other assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF.THE COUNTY OF'HAWAlIthat <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
