WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt street names of unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22, Hawaii County Code; and WHEREAS, the County Council adopted Resolution 355-82 which named the roadways in Kona Heavens Subdivision, Units I & II; and WHEREAS, the main mauka-makai roadway connecting Kona Heavens Subdivision to the Hawaii Belt Road has been named Hina-Lani Street; and WHEREAS, this mauka-makai roadway has been extended to its intersection with Queen Kaahumanu Highway through the Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision; and WHEREAS, Section 23-49 of the Subdivision Code states "similar names may be used to name extensions of existing streets"; and \ I i I I i I I I I WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of August 20, 1998, approved . the name for a certain unnamed roadway in Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said roadway, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows: I I \ I I I I ! i i I I 1 I I i \ i I \ I I I i I i \ i I "Hina-Lani Street" Dated at Hilo, Hawaii this 21st day of Name of a star .
