Since 1975, he has <br /> been employed as the Auditor -V Supervisor with the Department of Labor and Industrial <br /> Relations Unemployment Insurance Division. Mr. Matsuda serves as a member of the <br /> Hawai'i State District 50 Lions — Budget/Finance Committee and was a former member <br /> of the Hawai'i County Fire Commission. Mr. Matsuda states that he is a Democrat. If <br /> confirmed, he will serve a term to end eleven months after confirmation. <br /> • <br /> Council District 4 — Gloria Wong is a 57 -year resident of Hawai'l. Ms. Wong is a <br /> self - employed business consultant and a freelance writer. She is a former member of <br /> the Hawai'i County Board of Appeals. Ms. Wong states that she is a Democrat. If <br /> confirmed, she will serve a term to end eleven months after confirmation. <br /> Council District 6 — Marilyn Nicholson is a 35 -year resident of Hawai'i. In 2007, she <br /> retired as the Executive Director for the Volcano Art Center. Ms. Nicholson serves as a <br /> member of the Friends of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. She recently completed her <br /> term as a member of the County of Hawai'i Board of Ethics and was a former member <br /> of the Hawai'i County Cost of Government Commission. Ms Nicholson states that she <br /> is a Democrat.
