No. 728 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br />78 -128 Ehukai Street <br />Kailua -Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 11:54 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawai`i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 728, reports as <br />follows: <br />Communication No. 728, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, dated February 23, 2010, submits <br />for confirmation the appointment of Mr. Stephen Ono to the County of Hawai`i Windward <br />Planning Commission. <br />One member of the public commented that the Boards and Commissions need to be well - <br />rounded. <br />Mr. Ono appeared before your Committee. Upon questioning, Mr. Ono stated that his <br />background is in education. He further stated that although he was born on Oahu, he married a <br />"Hilo girl" and has lived in this county since they married, over 40 years ago. <br />Your Committee on Planning is in accord with Mayor Kenoi's nomination and recommends <br />confirmation of the appointment of Mr. Stephen Ono to the County of Hawai`i Windward <br />Planning Commission.
