<br />. <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> <br />. ,._.~--_._----"----'_._----------------------"C-- ~:(9.~. <br />., " <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 256 98 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO CELLULAR TELEPHONES WITH A <br />TWO~ YEAR SERVICE PLAN, AND SIXTEEN HOODED SWEATSHIRTS. " <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Denny D. DickerisOIl has donated two Cellular Telephones with a tWo-year service plan, and <br />sixteen Hooded Sweatshirts to the County of Hawaii, ParJGand Recreation Departinent, for use by Lifeguards at <br />Kahalu'u and White Sands Beaches; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the value of the donated cellular phones is One Thousand One Hundred Seven Dollars and Eighty <br />Four Cents, and the value of the donated sweatshirts is lhree Hundred Seventy Eight Dollars and Fifty Five Cents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the <br />County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. ' <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII,.'OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, HawailCoUnty Charter, the County of Hawaii, Departinent of Parks and <br />Recreation is authorized toaccept the donation of Two Cellular Telephones witha two-year service plan, and Sixteen <br />Hooded Sweatshirts. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to -- <br />George Yoshida, Director of Parks and Recreation, and.the Departinent of Parks and Recreation is directed to send a let- <br />ter of thanks to Denny D.
