GUY ENRIQUES <br />Council Member <br />Council District 6 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: J Yoshimoto, Chair <br />The new paragraph reads: <br />GE /bdw <br />att. <br />Res 33 i -Io> <br />County of Hmvai `i <br />Office of the County Clerk <br />25 )(upon Street <br />Hilo, 1lasrm', 96720 <br />and Members of the Hawai`i County ici1 <br />FROM: Guy Enriques, Council Member <br />DATE: April 22, 2010 <br />RE: <br />This is the only change proposed to CA -15. <br />Resolution Proposing Alternative Amendment to Charter Commission Proposal CA -15 <br />Charter Commission Proposal CA -15 adds a section to article 10 of the Hawai`i County Charter that <br />would provide for a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund. <br />The current language provided in CA -15 does not allow for any of the fund money to be used for <br />maintenance and management of lands purchased through the fund. <br />The attached resolution provides an alternative for the consideration of the 2009 -2010 Charter <br />Commission that adds a new paragraph to subsection (c) of this proposal, as it relates to use of the <br />fund money. <br />"(3) Maintain and manage lands purchased by this fund.
