No. 654 <br />PLACE: Councilroom <br />Hawai'i County Building <br />25 Aupuni Street <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br />TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawai`i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br />REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 654, reports as follows: <br />Communication No. 654, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, dated December 9, 2009, requested <br />confirmation of the appointments of Michael Fischer, Margaret Horwatt, Annie Howes, Robin K. Inaba, <br />Achahn Schulze, Fran Tabor, Leonard Librizzi, Jeannie Palermo and Nancy Alvord to the South Kohala <br />Community Development Plan Action Committee. <br />There was no public testimony regarding the appointments. Nominees Fischer, Horwatt, Inaba, Schulze, <br />Tabor, Librizzi, Palermo and Alvord were present, in person and /or via video- conferencing. <br />Also present at the meeting was Allen Salavea, from the Planning Department. Mr. Salavea informed <br />your Committee that Annie Howes withdrew her name from consideration. He stated that he was in the <br />process of selecting her replacement. <br />The nominees introduced themselves and stated their interest in serving on the Action Committee. There <br />were no questions for the nominees. Planning Committee Chair Donald Ikeda waived the nominees' <br />presence at Council. <br />Your Committee on Planning is in accord with Mayor Kenoi's nominations and recommends <br />confirmation of the appointment of Michael Fischer, Margaret Horwatt, Robin K.
