No. 660 /Bill No. 190 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 190, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 190, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 660, dated <br />December 16, 2009, amends Ordinance No. 09 -64, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June <br />30, 2010. The amendment is as follows: <br />FROM: <br />3303.98 Federal Grants — <br />Healthy Aging /Chronic Disease Self Management General $ 28,348 <br />TOTAL $ 28,348 <br />TO: <br />010.411.5411.93 Healthy Aging /Chronic Disease Self Management General $ 28,348 <br />TOTAL $ 28,348 <br />The State of Hawai`i Department of Health is providing additional funds, derived from the U.S. <br />Administration of Aging, to the Hawaii County's Office of Aging for their Chronic Disease Self <br />Management Program. These funds will be used to continue the implementation of the CDSMP, <br />which is an evidence -based prevention program. <br />Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, and Section 13- 13(b), Hawai`i County <br />Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the Chronic <br />Disease Self Management Program. <br />Program Specialist Pauline Fukunaga from the Office of Aging was present to answer any <br />questions and spoke briefly in support of the measure. <br />FC Rept.
