• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII.' =�.��� � STATE OF HAWAII <br /> E c . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 361 10 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -YEAR <br /> LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC PARKING AND PARK IMPROVEMENTS IN <br /> HOLUALOA 1ST, NORTH KONA, HAWAII, TAX MAP KEYS: (3)7 -6- 015:012 AND 013. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the Hawai`i County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more <br /> than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Public Works <br /> have determined that there is an immediate and pressing need for additional public parking and park <br /> improvements along Ali`i Drive across from Banyan's Beach in Kailua -Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County administration wishes to enter into an eight (8) year lease, with year to <br /> year options after that, with Karen A. Kobayashi, Trustee, for the use of the parcels identified as Tax <br /> Map Keys: (3)7- 6- 015:012 and 013, in Holualoa 1st, North Kona, for use as a public parking lot and <br /> park improvement areas, at a cost per parcel of $500.00 per month, for a total cost of $6,000.00 per <br /> year, plus the exception of the parcels' real property taxes under Section 19 -84 of the Hawaii County <br /> Code as property leased to the County of Hawaii. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that (1) the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for a <br /> public parking lot and park improvements as described herein, pursuant to Section 10 -11 of the <br />
