SECTION 4. Chapter 9, article 1, section 9 -5 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended) is amended by adding new definitions to be appropriately inserted and to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 'Demolition" means removal of electrical work when a demolition building <br /> permit is issued. <br /> "Ductline" means electrical conduit installation. <br /> "Electrical specialty wiring" means any electronic equipment, electronic controls, <br /> public address systems, intercommunication systems, music distributions systems, CATV <br /> systems, master and program clock systems, electronic teaching devices, fire alarm <br /> systems, security systems and telecommunication systems. <br /> "Electronics system contractor" means any person who is licensed under the <br /> provisions of chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statues, and possesses a valid, and active <br /> license qualifying such person to perform work as described in the Specialty Contractors <br /> Classification of Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 16, Chapter 77. <br /> "Fire and security system contractor" means any person who is licensed under the <br /> provisions of chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statues, and possesses a valid, and active <br /> license qualifying such person to perform work as described in the Specialty Contractors <br /> Classification of Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 16, Chapter 77. <br /> "Portable appliances" means any device that is deemed ready moveable and <br /> cord /plug connected. <br /> "Telecommunication contractor" means any person who is licensed under the provisions <br /> of chapter 444, Hawaii Revised Statues, and possesses a valid, and active license qualifying <br /> such person to perform work as described in the Specialty Contractors Classification of Hawai`i <br /> Administrative Rules, Title 16, Chapter 77." <br /> SECTION 5. Chapter 9, article 2, section 9 -9 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended) is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows: <br /> "(c) No serving agency shall supply[, or cause or permit to be supplied,] permanent <br /> electric energy to any electric [wiring] service until the [wifing] service has been <br /> inspected and approved [, and all codc and permit requirements of the Hawaii <br /> County Code relating to Building (chapter 5), Electricity (chapter 9), Affordable <br /> - - _ - <br /> - • - - - .]„ <br /> 3 <br />
