The request <br /> is for a 5 -year time extension to complete construction of the proposed Woodland Center <br /> commercial development. The subject property is located at the junction of the Pahoa Bypass <br /> Road and the Keaau -Pahoa Road bordering Kahakai Boulevard, Keonepoko Iki Homesteads, <br /> Pahoa, Puna, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant requests a five (5) -year time extension to Condition B (Completion <br /> of Construction) of Ordinance No. 03 111. Condition B states: <br /> "Construction of any development on the subject property shall be completed within five <br /> (5) years from the effective date of this amendment. In the event substantial construction <br /> has occurred, but not completed within the five -year period, the Planning Director may <br /> grant an extension of not more than one year.
