Chapter 17, article 1, section 17 -1 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 17 -1. Title and purpose. <br /> (a) This chapter shall be known as the "plumbing code," may be cited as such, and will <br /> be referred to herein as "this code." <br /> (b) The purpose of this code is to provide for the protection of the public health and <br /> safety by establishing minimum regulations for the installation, alteration, or repair <br /> of plumbing, gas, and drainage systems and the inspection thereof." <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 17, article 1, section 17 -3 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 <br /> Edition, as amended) is amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 17 -3.
